GX Gallery is delighted to present Susila Bailey-Bond’s first solo exhibition at Searcys, The Gherkin.
Susila's delicate three-dimensional artworks suggest movement and grace, with densely-packed printed papercuts, from butterflies, leaves, and flowers, to other icons, all leaping or swarming around the canvas in a flurry of soft colours and shapes.
“From as early as I can remember I have been obsessed with creating bright and optimistic artworks in a variety of mediums. These days, whether I am making a delicate paper-cut work, or a bold, graphic based mixed-media print, my intention is to create something uplifting for the viewer through my appreciation of colour, form and composition” – Susila Bailey-Bond.
